Lacrosse Speed and Agility Program
Lacrosse depends on rapid changes of speed which requires the athlete to quickly accelerate and decelerate his/her body. Lacrosse players often fail to take full advantage of their muscular potential because of weakness, momentary losses of balance, or breakdowns in movement rhythm. Often, even the best lacrosse players are deficient in the basic balance and postural requirements for safe performance.

Through the LINK evaluation specific sports performance exercises for the athletes "weak links", the Lacrosse Speed and Agility program gives the player a sound muscular base upon which their sport careers can be launched.

Program Focus
Lacrosse players will be evaluated and trained using the LINK system. The LINK system identifies weaknesses and imbalances that can cause the athlete to run slower, have "heavy feet", or lead to muscles strains. Through proper training, the weak links are addressed and this also leads to increased running speed, vertical power, and quicker feet.

Program Design
Examine and make the lacrosse player aware of his/her posture and balance during exercise and play.

Strengthen and lengthen weak or tight muscles which can interfere with proper movement patterns.

Introduce the athlete to a variety of movement drills that can be transformed into improved lacrosse performance.

Help the lacrosse player understand his or her own movement abilities and patterns

Program Structure
Programs are six to eight weeks in length with two- three sessions per week.

Athletes are asked to complete the 18 session program within 8 weeks to ensure proper training improvements.

Athletes are tested over the first two training sessions and then during the last week of training to measure improvement. This information is shared with the parents and athlete to improve on future training efforts.
